Do you feel like you are getting "ripped off" playing in other pool leagues?  Do you think the rules  seem to change every time you hear them?  Are you tired of wondering what your skill level will be next week?

If you answered "YES" to any of these questions then it is probably time for you to come to Denton County TAP!  We are a pool league that has the best interest of the player in mind!  Pool was intended to be a game of skill, not bang pool!

Don't agree with the statement?  Then why were handicap systems established?  Handicap systems were designed to allow a lesser "skilled" player to compete with a higher "skilled" player!  So how do you think your "skill level" can change so many times?

Ever wonder why your handicap could change when you truly don't feel like you  got better?  If a league operator can change your skill level and it makes you too good to keep your team together, then they would be able to get you to start a new team.  That's where, in my opinion, the pool league business went wrong.  That's simply not what this game is about!  Your skill level is what it is!  It takes time for a player to develop more skill.  That's why our handicap system uses more information about how you shot in your match to calculate how skilled you are.  As a league operator, I can not change your skill level, but Your shooting ability can!  Can your league operator change your skill level?  The answer may shock you!  Not only does this affect you locally, it affects you nationally!  If just a few league operator change handicaps to possibly build their business, then you will be ranked at a "higher skill level" than what you actually are.  This makes it very hard for you to compete on a National level.

Do you wonder where you money goes when you play in a pool league?  I tell you exactly where your money goes!  Ask your league operator and see what they tell you!   Wonder why your league fees increased this year?  Because this is a business and it someone is spending more money so that costs is passed on to you!  Now let's see here, you, the pool player, are this business.  Hmmm

Denton County TAP is committed to keeping our costs the same!  I do not run this league to make my living off of you!  Our motto is simple:  No price increases!  You buy your gas and I'll buy mine!

I truly love this game and I started this league to make sure that both you and I could have a league that keeps the player in mind!  It disturbs me greatly that others either fail to see or simply ignore how taking advantage of players hurts this game!  Denton County TAP will do everything in its power to keep integrity in this game.  How will we do it?  You the players will be asked to provide input by electing a board of governors that has input into how the league will change for the future!  These people will be the ones that I pass ideas by and they will be the ones who pass new by-laws that make the game better for you!

If your pool league is giving you everything you deserve as a player, then you should stay there!  Those leagues are hard to come by and I give that operator credit for taking care of his players!  If you agree with the things I have said and thinks it is time for you or your team to make a change, Upgrade your pool league!  Join Denton County TAP today!
